Default Ecosse Builds the World's Most Expensive Motorcycle

    < ECOSSE | Moto works >

Only 13 will be available for $300,000.00. The first batch is going to China.

"Ecosse Moto Works has a reputation for concocting perfectly unreasonable motorcycles, flawlessly detailed six-figure bikes that are handmade for a small but dedicated clientele. But the Denver, Colo.-based boutique builder's new flagship elevates the company's artistry and performance to new heights.

Priced at an extravagant $300,000—making it the most expensive production motorcycle on the market—Ecosse’s latest model is dubbed the FE Ti XX, and heralds the end of the company's line of Heretic bikes. Motivated by a 2,409 cc billet engine that produces an outrageous 225 hp at the rear wheel—the most Ecosse has ever offered—the FE Ti XX incorporates a new exposed carbon-belt drive with a hydraulically actuated clutch. The exhaust system by the race veterans at Good Fabs features ceramic shot-peened and hardened titanium tubes for strength and fatigue resistance. Astride a posh Berluti saddle, the lucky owner rests his or her eyes on a full-color dash with data logging, just past the bodywork finished in a special carbon weave.

What kind of buyer is attracted to the FE Ti XX? Of the 13 examples that will be produced, the first batch is already destined for China, and one is being delivered without fluids in order to be displayed in a private home—an apt tribute to a static, but potentially fiercely kinetic piece of two-wheeled sculpture. Do I stand alone in thinking that $300K is way too pricey? Ive been into bikes for a while and I dont see how they're stuffing $300K worth of technology/labor/parts into that bike...

The only scenario I'd pay that much for a bike is if it were a late model GP bike- and then in that case, I'd be more than STOKED to hand over the cash

well...the heretic (by ecosse) has a titanium frame...that might make it worth 300k. doubt it really...just some fluff and floss bike.

as much as iI would love to pay only 300k for a late model gp bike...that will never happen...I have tried...i almost got my hands on an older m1 a while back...dude wanted too much. well past the 1 mill mark. and thats with the help of Colin Edwards (my buddy)

most wsbk bikes with chamionship pedigree...or some cool ama fx/superbikes (pre 2004, with all the bling) are fetching 200k and up.

ultimately there are a few collectors (me, a man named pete, george buroughs) will end up pushing up all the prices of these former racebikes and created an artificial pricepoint.

PS. I would trade all of my 78 bikes for 2 rc211v with spares and factory support...but that was qouted to me by a factory hrc bigwig to be well past the 10 mil mark.

Saw a couple of their bikes at Moto GP. Impressive but not worth the price tag by far.

$300K and they cant even hide the cables and hoses for the controls?

This shot just looks cheap, the turn signals look as if they were sourced from Wal-Mart. I mean come on you have a "custom billet engine" and the indicators look as though they were just stuck on, as a cheap afterthought. Just my .02.

Believe it or not i think one can find a fairly recent GP bike around the 300-500k range depending on the model. Or even a v4 2 stroke in the low 300k range. Got a few FX bikes myself, and would let a em go for under 100k.

I couldn't find any in USA, but there are some in UK.
