Help me decide on paint for Yamaha R6
Hello guys,
I've got a 2005 R6 project that is ripped down and ready to be sprayed but I am the world's worst decision maker.
I'm looking to you guys to see if you have any creative ideas for the bike. I want something that is subtle and classy (not interested in bright flashy colors like a Verde Ithaca or the likes).
I've got numerous ideas but am unsure on which direction to take. I like flat/satin white w/ black wheels, satin gold w/ black wheels, or a really dark navy blue with satin gold wheels.
Bike will have an aluminum fiber exhaust (silver).
So let's hear some of your ideas for it and if any of you are proficient at photoshop then please post pics of your ideas! Here are the first two colors I was thinking:
Satin Gold:

Satin White:

Paint it in a classic Yamaha scheme like the R1 below, but substitute the satin gold instead of yellow, and make the white and black satin also. You can keep the stock black wheels, but add a satin gold rimstripe. Might ask someone to photoshop that for you, as I'm not capable.

what about matte black with satin gold accents, but not to the extent shown above. more black and minimal gold. not to go based off of that pic exactly, but along the lines of the yellow and black being matte black and white white space being satin gold.

You could also do something along the lines of John Player Special livery, except matte black and gold. Do a google images search and you'll find a lot of race cars in that scheme.

Sounds like a good plan. Think the other design might be a little bit too busy for what I'm going for anyway, but am interested in the idea of adding a little something to break up the one color.
This is sort of what I was thinking at the beginning. What do you mean gloss black "accents?" What all would you paint besides wheels?
Never seen those cars before. Neat idea but I'm wanting something more tame.
