    Default Cafe Racers?

Anyone have any experience building Cafe Racers? I'm thinking about getting a CB350 and building one. But would like to see what kind of costs and time I would be looking at. Planning on starting the project in about a month or so... Thanks for any help!

I am just afraid of the 350 being too small of an engine for my size and weight. So I figured a 750 would be pretty decent. The 550 is under consideration but they seem to be harder to find than the 750s

cb750 is a great platform for a cafe. The length all depends on the amount of work needed to get it running and what you want to do to it. You could have something whipped up in a week for not much money with the addition of some handle bars, a new light, a new seat, and doing much of the work yourself. Or, it could take much longer and cost more if you plan on stripping it down, professionally repainting everything, adding all new parts, buying pre-made "cafe" items, ect....

i build them. the 72-74 cb350f is a very sought after cafe bike. Ive had 2 so far, and now i want another. I just picked up a cb400t for my next one.

when you say 750, what year is it? what trim? if the cb750f or the f SS you have a real gem.

not sure what trim... I'm collecting info at this point before i start looking... most bikes up for sale only seem to have the CB750 description without any other info. Is there a way i can tell?
