I build cafe's all the time. To do a nice cafe build on a 750, you are looking at around $2k-$2500 in extras. Biggest expenses that can change that price are shocks and exhaust.

I love the cafe racer style, a friend was building one and just sold all of it I believe. I forget what bike it was.

How would a honda 600rr motor do? Im talking about a newer motor but mounted in a custom built frame. The crazy high revs on those motors seems appropriate for a cafe racer. Either that or I want to build a cafe racer with a 2 stroke.

Nice! Thanks for the search, but I would like to kinda build one up from ground zero. Think it would be a lot more fun.

I think it would be tough to make it look like a simple stripped down light weight bike with all the electronics, and additional components. Simple 2 stroke 2 cyl carb FTW

Have you made any progress finding a bike? I know a shop in LA that has a lot of original cb's.
