    From speaking with a few people, the "9" series (by that I mean 999 & 749) were the biggest hit or miss models aesthetically, but not much can come close to their competitive track ability. From a service managers mouth, "Duc's aren't poor man's bikes. Be prepared to love, prepared to impress, and prepared to pay". He gave me the rough estimate of about $1000 every 6000 miles, but with proper maintenance he's servicing 30, 40, and 50,000 mile Ducs.
