BIG CONGRATS! Glad to hear that you're being smart and taking the MSF course. 1000cc street bikes will keep a silly grin on your face for sure - enjoy

I bought one of the first Mille Rs imported back in 2000. It was a great bike. I wish I still had it. Very cool bike.

Lux, looks like mine very nice

My bike needs 3 pieces of plastic replaced, so while doing so I may paint it the ferrari scud gray (grigio media), and PC the wheels brinze ti match the ohlin suspension, pssibly the swing arm as well. Thaughts?

first things first...I would replace the plastics and then try to get the forks revalved with the ohlins superbike kit...makes a night and and difference....best out there is thermonsman...he is the ohlins race rep for bikes in usa. get the shock re-valved for your style and get a spring for your weight as well...and get some good tires...I like diablo corsa 3s a lot.. and dont paint the swinger..powdercoat it...also get some good rearsets so that you can adjust the pegs to your preferred height. the bike comes with a steering damp right? if not get one of those...it just might save your life...and most important of all...get good gear and have fun.

or I would try to change the front end for a newer priller front end so that you can run radial braking...but that is not really necessary but looks cooler and gives u access to newer braking tech.

    Thanks guys,

I never paint, always PC The Ohlin shocks are on the bike/forks etc all that is great!

    Here is my situation now...

I can buy all the needed plastics from the dealer for $800 prepainted and unstickered, or I can buy them used for $400 and repaint the bike Grigio Media (ferrari scud grey) for about the same price as prepainted dealer parts....what should I do fellas? Not sure how it messes with the value.
