It's real easy man...if you wear your helmet all the time and want to feel the wind in your face, just open the shield.

Helmets are absolutely a good thing, I'd be dead or in a vegetative state probably a dozen times without one. wrecked a bike this past summer, basically a highside that mousetrapped my face into the ground. even with the helmet on it nearly ripped my bottom lip off, all kinds of road rash, and a pleasant stay at the hospital. I can somewhat understand why the harley guys want to ride without a lid, and half the time the helmets they wear are a joke anyway, but it doesn't take much of a hit to the dome to kill you.

Of course you should wear a helmet most of the time. But of course it should be personal choice. Same with seat belts . . .

I'm a sportbiker and for me, ATGATT.

I've tried helmetless and my eyes water anywhere above 15mph; I don't know how some guys on sportbikes do it.

    Wear your helmet always!
Without one I would be either a vegetable or in a coffin.
Want the free feeling, wear an open face helmet.
Too many bad drivers out there.
