    Default My 2002 R6 build history

    Bought this in spring of 2005.

    It's a 2002 Yamaha R6 (first gen).

    Here is a rough timeline of modifications as I've progressed with the bike.

    Stock (2005):


    Fender Eliminator, M4 Ti exhaust, OEM Seat Cowl


    Proton Flushmount Signals


    Pazzo levers (2006)

    Galfer SS Lines


    Galfer 1375 HH Pads
    Vortex Rearsets


    Vortex race gas cap (2007)


    GYTR CF Rear hugger, Pirelli Diablo Corsa tires (2008)


    GYTR CF Side covers, ram air covers (2009)


    GYTR CF Ram air covers; Vortex iodized master brake cylinder cap


    GYTR CF fender; removed fork reflector

    i had a 99 brings back memories.

    A bunch of gas powered italian, german, japanese, and american things with four wheels. On order is a bunch of the same, and previously I had a bunch of the same. Oh and I fly, tool around on boats, and have been known to ride motorcycles.

    Bump:

    Custom fabricated bar ends, CRG Mirrors, Driven Motorsports Blockoff plates, Galfer Wave Rotors

    The Galfer wave rotors were fitted last season.

    This season, I wanted to pick up some bar end mirrors for my 1st gen. Sadly, I couldn't find aftermarket bar ends that would fit the CRG mirrors.

    Fortunately, my dad has various machining equipment (lathe, press, etc) shop in our basement. So we picked up some hard plastic bar ends he cut them to fit.

    Very Nice.. Ive always been a Yamaha Guy..

    Just recently purchased my 7th one.. 2007 R1

    Its by far one of my fastest bikes..
