Thank you!! Where in PA are you from?
That one time at Jersey...was it Thunderbolt or Lightning?
I've done Summit a few times and raced several WERA events there but I screwed the pooch huge the last time I was there and fractured my vertebrae. For now I just stick to trackdays and enjoy the ride much more.....for now.Last edited by mototechcycle; 07-09-2012 at 04:53 PM.

All you Ducati guys are neglecting to mention the only reason why ducati's aren't good for the street..... underseat heat. The heat is absolutely UNREAL with the stock cans and servo valve. I ended up with an ecu, ti/carbon exhaust no valve and wrapped the headers and underseat pipes and still got swamp ass every single time I was on the bike. The riding position was incredibly comfortable tho but I had rearsets on it to help and keep from dragging the stock ones.
My only complaints about the bike are first gear is totally useless its so low all you can do is spin or wheelie when launching so I stopped using 1st gear all together and the fact its so torquey that I had to nurse a rear DSC by the end of a full track day but I bought it for a street bike as I had a new zx6r for track duty at the time.
I'll probally end up with a cheap 06 gsxr 600 & MV F3 sometime next yr for a track bikes.
For those that have ridden the 1198 and 1199 back to back is the difference as drastic as f430 vs 458?

I'm in Pittsburgh. It was Thunderbolt.
I broke a wrist in a lowslide in T3 at Summit and my friend died in T1 in his S2000 the week after there...haven't been back since.
I run to Beaverun a lot because it's 20 minutes from my office and MidOH is a personal favorite since it's the first track I'd ever been on back in 2001 when I did a Keith Code school there.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend.
When clubs had trackdays at Pocono it was convenient for me as it was only 30 minutes away. Even Monticello Motor Club was a convenient 1+ drive but neither offer it anymore. Although rumors are flying that Pocono will be repaving their infield course and looking to bring the bike clubs back. Fingers crossed but until then it's the mundane 2-1/2 hour drive to Jersey for me.www.mototechcycle.com
