    Default GSX-R 600?

I have been looking at getting a bike for a while, but I really dont know that much or where to research them. Right now I am looking at a 2009 GSX-R 600 with 5000 miles on it and as far as I can tell this is a $6,000+ bike. The seller is asking 3300 for it. I originally wanted at least a 750 but if this is as good of a deal as I think it is I can't really turn it down. She said that it is in perfect condition with no scratches or anything and has never been into an accident.

So am I right is this really a $6,000 and I am getting a really good deal on or did I add up something wrong?

Right now I don't have picture, but when I get them in the next day or so I will post the here. Also, they said they are moving on the 6th, do you guys think I should wait until it gets closer until the day they move and then offer them less. Or should I not risk it and offer the the 3300.

    Thanks for the help

Like I said via PM, offer enough to strike their interests but not to low to piss them off. When people are moving and can't take an item with, they always seem to be more motivated to move it quick. You need to find out how motivated they are to move the item. Ask a TON of questions, test drive the bike, take a mechanic with you or take the bike to get looked at first, and don't be afraid to walk away from the deal if there are any red flags. If something seems to be too good to be true, typically it is.

I also want to add, if this is your first bike, a 600 is all you need. Don't go and put your big boy pants on before you can fit into them. I've owned 600's, 750's, 900's, and 1000's. I currently own a 600 and I'm content with the HP. I will say that 750's and 1000's have instant power gains but when your starting out it will scare the sh*t out of you. Don't be one of those guys and get a bigger bike than what you need. That's when guys start getting stupid and accidents happen. I've lost a few friends to this, don't be the next.

As far as price, its more than a fair price. We all know that I have a 07 GSX-R with 7K miles and I paid $3K for it.

What kind of questions would you ask to see how motivated they are to sell it. And I don't think this is "to good to be true" as you almost got the same deal.

I am only 16, but I don't think handling the bike will be that difficult as I have raced motocross for about 4 years. If I can handle it over a jump I can (hopefully) handle it in a straight line.

I remember reading that noone believed you got yours for that much, so does this mean I am getting a really good deal? lol And I think this should be prof that it is possible he got his for 3k, because this one is two years newer.

Also, if I bought the bike just to turn around and sell it how much could I make?

First mistake... and quite a big one, I might add.

He wants $3300? I would snap it up in a heart beat. Hopefully the guy doesn't use the money to feed his drug habit because the price he's asking is a steal.

If you're 16 and you think a 600 won't have enough power you are an idiot. I've ridden motocross almost all my life and a 600 has plenty of power for me. If you do get a bike just please be safe and don't get yourself killed.

If you raced motocross then get a 1000. You'll be bored out of your mind on a 600 on the street, track its a different story. Its going to ride like a 125 2 stroke compared to a 450f. Yeah, there in the same league acceleration wise but the 600 has NOTHING under 10k.

On another note the bike is deffinately STOLEN for 3300. if it isn't and for some reason you don't buy it call me and ill drive out tonight to buy it. I'm allways looking for a track bike and that is a retarded, crazy, amazing deal!

Are you seriously telling this kid to start out on a 1K? I could only hope that he doesn't listen and get himself hurt.
