Thread: Chicago Night Life

Hey guys, can anyone give me some good recommendations on where to go as far as clubs in Chicago? I'm gonna be down there with my GF this weekend and want to know where everyone usually likes to go. Also, i know there are some sweet rooftop bars in Chicago. But I'm not sure where they are. Any help would be great. Thanks

what are you looking to do? dance, listen to good live music, get shit faced cheap?

I mean vision and sound bar are the two bringing in the most people.

Basically we're into good music. Places with a great atmosphere instead of places that call themselves clubs but basically are shitty bars. Not really looking to get shit canned much.

Head down to Rush Street.
Any cabby can get you there. Start with drinks at the Tavern on Rush and head out from there.

I would goto wrigelyvile one night, and then the area known as rush street. Basically rush and division

Market has a dope roof top

Wicker park area has some fun bars, my favorite is always empire liqours! Great spot..

good house music??? ybar=a staple in my diet and spybar=the best house music in the city. vision & soudnbar are in the same neighborhood, but a bit past their prime (they are now filled with mostly suburban kids on their big night out in the city)

wrigleyville = not clubs but lots of sh*tty bars (imho - sorry, too many younguns gettin sh*tfaced)

epic's rooftop is the newest spot, great crowd, awesome location. right next to nv penthouse (club/lounge that usually spins hiphop&top40)

we're actually doing the epic rooftop with a bunch of people saturday night before heading out

^^^^follow her advice. She is right on the money. Also the Wit hotel has a nice rooftop bar.

look into pitchfork music fest as well. tickets are sold out, but can be found on craigslist.
