Visiting Chicago
Figured I could get some responses in the midwest section.
The wife and I will be going to Chicago for a long weekend. It is the first time there for the both of us, so we are wondering what to do. We are staying at the Homewood Suites and a Cubs game is the only thing that we have planned so far.
What do we need to do while in town? Do we stay around the Mag Mile? What other parts of town do we need to hit? She wants to see some fireworks while there.
We don't plan on renting a car while in town so we will be relying on walking, cabs, and public transit.
All options welcome.
Also, I am a watch, car, and sports guy, so if that influences anyones thoughts...

If you want fireworks, book a dinner cruise on one of the ships that leaves from Navy Pier. This is the best one IMO.

To eat, you should hit up Ed Debevic's restaurant. Its pretty unique, the waiters/waitresses get paid to be rude to you and they dance on tables. The servants are funny though. If you want, check out Bentley Goldcoast, 834 Rush Street, they got some cool cars.
Hope I helped!

Porsche Parade starts tomorrow. It will be in St. Charles, about 45 minutes west of Chicago.
