Chicago Boat Show 2010 - 1/13-1/17
If nothing else, just a heads up that the boat show at McCormick Place North starts Wednesday 1/13 and runs thru Sunday 1/17
My girl and I will probably blow thru it on Sunday sometime so if anyone wants to meet there for a 10 dollar beer and a few lies, let me know.A Citroen powered Peugoet.
A 1600 hp canoe.
And Others.

I'm not sure what you mean by "worth it" ?
There wont be many performance boats there from what I hear but I'm going anyway because my g/f only lives a few blocks from McCormick Place. Last years attendance by dealers/manufacturers was down due to the economic enviornment and Chicago's union's having a high-dollar stranglehold on everything having to do with the show ( i.e. you have to have union workers set up the electronics in your display area, and its like 90 dollars for the simple act of plugging in one extension cord ).
If you have time to fill, I'd say go.Last edited by 38 Cigarette; 01-12-2010 at 08:32 PM.

I checked out the website and they are only open till 9. I would only get an hour or so to walk around after leaving work and getting there. Maybe next year.

I'm trying to convince Jeremy to go. What time are you headed over on sunday? My original plan was to hit it up Saturday during the day.
It is vital that we work to a few golden rules. Always work in a small team. Keep a very low profile. Only deal with people who come recommended. And it's like selling anything else: washing machines, hand made shoes, blowjobs. As long as you don't take the piss people will always come back for more. And that is not to say we don't have that special kind of magic that makes two kilos into three. But never be too greedy.
