Default What to do in Kansas City, MO????

Going to be in the area for work the last week of Jan. Staying close to the airport. Any restaurants, bars or sites that I must make time to visit. Thanks for any help. I do know it will be cold as hell though.

If you're by the airport there are plenty of close places to go, just depends what you want. Let me know what you're thinking and I'll rattle off a list...

Right now it's snowing here, and 20 degrees.

Thanks for the quick reply. Any good BBQ or Steakhouses close by? Any local sports bars? Going to be doing some work at the Zona Rosa Mall. Should have alot of free time while there.

For BBQ I would go straight to Smokehouse, it's in Zona Rosa near the main entrance. Minsky's pizza & sports bar is popular too, and it's across the street from Zona. I don't have a steak recommendation close, but if you want to head downtown Ruth's Chris and Capital Grille are both good.

    Hope these help!

Thanks for the ideas. Will check them all out. Been to a few Ruth Chris and not very impressed so will have to try Capital Grille. Hope the weather is a little warmer the end of the month. Not with my luck it will probably blizzard and snow me in for a week when trying to fly out. jkjkjk

Kansas City, MO has the best BBQ ever known. A combination of Memphis and South Carolina, hit up Arthur Bryant. Last summer we took a road trip from Chicago -> KC just for his bbq. We did not leave disappointed.
East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.
