I have just started my summer internship in Chicago. Does anyone have activities they recommend to do on the weekends and evenings. I have work till 5 M-F and off all weekend. I already have the beach, Sears tower observation deck, and the parks on my list. What are some fun places to visit any popular places for breakfast that have good pastries. Any information is appreciated!

Wicker park is a great area, Nookies is a great breakfast place in old town, summer fest starts tomorrow in Lincoln Square

How old are you? What do you like to do?
I am in the suburbs currently but I go to the city frequently as well to do things on the weekends.

I like to have fun and party, I haven't been able to spend a full weekend in the city yet, I was in Lincoln Park area for a Friday night a few weeks back. I want to go to SuperCar Saturday as Forfend told me about it, but I am going to NJ this weekend, hopefully I can go next weekend. I open to suggestions, the city is huge, but I work from 8-5 M-F so I have not ventured around too much except for a quick hour during lunch time.

What is it and don't say the ghetto, I already went to the ghetto once when I wasn't allowed on the Metra Electric during NATO because my bag was to big and thought the Red Line was a possible alternative till I learned it went no where near where I am living and was actually a bad part of town several miles west of where I live. rush and division is on the north side of the city its a a section of town with a ton of bars.
