If Brian's comment gave you the impression I work for McLaren SF, that's not the case. I live in SoCal myself.

I've heard the car was pulled from the showroom as they are working to get it in tip top shape for its trip over the auction block in Monterey in a couple weeks. It might still be back in the garage area which could be off limits or it could be back in the showroom by now. If you are going to go way out of your way then it may be best to call first.

Yup, I can confirm that it's no longer in the showroom. Drove by just the other day and it wasn't there.

I'm afraid I don't know if it will ever return. It may not, as they may just prep it and wait for the auction.

There's an F1 car in their showroom now (plus a couple MP4-12C's, of course).

Awe man, i just saw this guy at Mclaren Silicon Valley. It's truly a stunner. Looking at it closely just makes you cringe thinking about how much the car has been through and the history that sits in that car.
