Thread: Spotted MP4 on 287W. Anyone here?

Well, that was one hell of a surprise. I look in my rear view mirror, hear a loud sound and see glowing lights, thinking "Oh cool a lotus!" and then realize "Waaaaaaiittt aaaa minuuuteeeee." and flip out my iPhone to record this beauty. Curious if it's anyone on L4P? It was in the southern NY area on 287West.

Same here, didn't think it had much noise to it until i heard it in person.

Interesting. I saw my first MP4-12C in November and it was damn quiet. Granted he didn't push it as he was in traffic outside a football stadium, but compared to Ferraris and Maseratis I've heard, it was a Tesla.

had 3 MP4-12Cs on the rally. Amazing cars.

Maybe he was in a high gear? It was very clear this guy kept shifting up and down. But when he was just cruising he must of been in a low gear bc i heard the engine wanting to go.

That looks like the one from Miller Motorcars in Greenwich.....didn't think they were ever going to sell that thing haha.

MP4's sounds may be very different even between stock cars...very first cars have a quieter exhaust, while latest cars have a more loud one...plus there is the Superlightweight exhaust system which is an official option...
