2012 CLS Questions
I am about to order a 2012 CLS550 4matic, and was hoping for some help with the following questions:
- What are the differences between the black leather, black premium leather, and black sport premium leather interiors?
- What sizes are the 19" tires, and how do the high performance tires perform in the winter?
Thanks in advance for your help, these are the only remaining questions holding up my order..

- The difference between the regular black leather and premium leather is the quality. Premium leather is generally softer, less-grainy and pretty much...of premium quality. The only way for me to decide would be to go to the dealership and look at examples of both. I have heard that premium leather wears MUCH faster and more easily than regular leather, and regular leather wears quicker than MB-Tex. I would probably go with the Regular Black Leather because of the complaints about the premium leather...just because its not 'premium' does not mean it won't be nice. Regarding the sport premium leather, I have never heard of that. My best guess would be some type of perforated or more tightly fit leather? No idea. Probably a good question for the dealer.
- Front: P255/45R17, Rear: P245/40R17 ; Can't really speak for the performance tires but if you're optioning the car as a 4MATIC, the system is super incredible and advanced.
Be sure to post up pics when you get it! The CLS is my favorite MBZ out right now.18 y/o, automotive photographer and enthusiast

Thanks filmstudent.
I got some additional feedback on the interiors - the Sport Premium is the premium black leather with contrast grey stitching, and only available with one of the wheel packages. I think I'm going to go with the sport premium.
Did you ever drive your e350 4matic in the snow? I'm sure the 4matic is great, but I will likely be ordering Modulare's for the car in the other months, but would only use the 19' amg wheels for the winter...
