According to Autoblog, the fate of Maybach is doomed! Not a big fan, I always like the Phantom better, but this makes me sad...

yeah their sales were crap so this wasn't a surprise to me. and i always liked Bentley/ RR better anyways. im excited to see the new range of S classes that will replace the maybachs

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! all of you bentley/rolls fans have obviously never been in a 62s. Moon roof, reclining seats, computers built into the seats, champagne cooler and glass holders, curtains and unbelievable leg room. beats all competitors. It just isn't flashy on the outside like rolls and bentleys. hope they bring the features of 62 to the new s600s

most of the people who can afford maybachs wont give it a chance because of the exterior looks

Maybachs appeal to those who wish to stay under the radar and are more conservative. It is less obnoxious looking than a phantom or bentley because of the conservative styling. It is too bad because it is tough to beat the interior of a 'bach.
