Well between the two, the 280 gets my vote. I think it would fun to cruise around in.

so i apperciate all the feedback, i'm loving the 280se. So i went by the mercedes dealership in henderson the other day, got to talking to the sales guy and he was telling me off an old timer customer they had come in wanting to trade in his 280se, he got me the number and away i went. Gave the old timer a call and went to the see the car. Its perfect black with red interior exactly what i am looking for. Sorry no pics yet, but soon i hope, were just working out the final details

Deal is done! i go and pick up the car early next week. Thank you all for great expertise, the only downfall that took so long to work out is the car does not have a red interior like i was told, when i went to pick it up it turns out it has a black interior

So i took the 280 se with a buddy and we drove to LA earlier this week, while we were there i was approached by an guy and this son they were asking about the Benz and the dad had said his grandfather had one when he was kid and how much he loved when he grew up.

Sadly his grandfather was in an accident with his and the car was totalled, many years ago. His son was very interested in the car as well and was asking a bunch of questions . So i offered them to sit in it and we started it up. Well before they left the dad pulled me aside and said when i was ready to sell to give him a call becuase he wants this one exactly like this. I told him i have only had a few weeks and that i will keep it mind.

later that day i got to thinking, how much joy this guy and his son will have with this car is more than i will ever get, so i talked to over with my friend and he agrees. I called the guy today and told him i was ready to sell, and he was overjoyed he asked me what made me chang my mind. I told him that i know it will be loved and that as much as i enjoy it, now that i have had it for a few weeks i don't think its the right car for me right now.

So he and his son are comming out tomorrow to pick it up

That is a very gracious and cool thing to do. Well played, sir.

Besides, the black interior in Vegas would cook you like an egg on the sidewalk.
