Default Mercedes w209 clk 55 cabriolet Info needed

This is my second post, trying to get more responses before I pull the trigger.

I personally hate looking through most of the mercedes forums so I figured i'd ask and hope someone has some information on the CLK55's I looking into selling my 08 335i for a 05 clk 55 cabriolet.

Anyone on the forum currently own one or own one in the past?

    Pro/Cons
    reliability

    Anything would be appreciated.

    Thanks

You should get it, I've read good feedback from owners.

    All in my opinion.

Pros- The motor is very reliable. Its a fun car to drive. It has lots of tq and hp. Gas mileage is good. A tune can help with that and add some extra power.

Cons- The main thing is you can only get it in a auto if that matters for you. The tranny always feels to me like it shifts (slow, late) They do offer tunes for that as well. The motor is know for a top gasket leak ( Simple DIY). Other than that the car is very solid.

Had an '05 black on black... very solid car, pretty reliable, fun engine. Have you driven one? The 5 speed auto is pretty smooth in automatic mode but compared to today's auto trannys, gear shifts feel a bit slow in manual mode. But overall I really liked that car. Let me know if you have any other questions.
