Thread: Is this the new S-class?

I've noticed a trend since I've been a member of this site. It seems that every time MB introduces it's redesigns of classes, the majority of first impressions are almost always negative. But as soon as the production models hit the street, all of a sudden, the negativity disappears! It happened with the C-class, E-class, CLS, SL and now the S-class. I have learned to trust Mercedes. Whenever their designs are in front of me physically and are sitting in that lowered, aggressive stance, they look beautifully dangerous.

As for the front end of this rendering, looks like it shares the lamps of the current SL. Mark my words, when the car hits the asphalt and/or AMG touches it, attitudes will change.

Blame the law and not MBZ for the higher front ends. Shame.

I really like it.

Wouldn't mind trading in either of my cars for this.

Im biased though.

From the renderings I have seen, the headlights are suppose to be full led, similar to the cls, not like the one shown.

Not liking it, might look better once we get actual pics.

Not a fan, IMO looks to soft for a s class.

This is just how enthusiasts always react to any new car from ANY manufacturer. I remember people were hating the R8 idea before it came up, same with BMW E9Xs and a number of other models. Just how we are I guess, we like tradition and get confused when companies break it for sales! The enthusiast community seems to be taking longer than usual for liking cars like the Ferrari FF, including myself. But once I see a few more popping up on the street, I'm going to be all over that bandwagon!
