GL63 AMG officially revealed !!
The Mercedes GL 63 AMG has made an appearance for the first time following the release of official details and photos by the German automotive giant. It marks a historical moment for the GL-Class with a first ever AMG-induced version of the full-sized crossover SUV.
The root of the performance model comes from AMG's 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine that produces 550hp 560lb-ft of torque. The power is passed to the wheels via the AMG Speedshift 7-Speed automatic transmission and the permanent all-wheel-drive system.
It allows the GL63 AMG to arrive at 100km/h (62mph) from standstill in 4.9 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h (155mph).
The performance model is distinguished by its larger air intakes on the front fascia while the there is no mistaking the quad-exhaust layout on the rear.
European dealerships will be treated to the first examples of the new GL 63 AMG in November this year, but US customers will have to wait until the first quarter of 2013. Pricing is set to be announced closer to its official launch date.

LOL! THIS THING LOOKS SICK! I would take it over the that funny looking thing called the ML63. It seems like it has the same bumper design as the ML 63 but it suite the GL much better imo. Good job amg, nice move.

I have had 4 GL's and think they're GREAT CARS. If you don't like the 63, don't buy it. They needed to update this car!
