Stock vs Performance Package
Hey guys,
I usually just lurk these forums and signed up recently!
I'm from Australia and in the market to buy a Mercedes C63 soon.
We have two types here, C63 stock and C63 performance package that ups the HP by 30, resulting in 0-100km (0-60) in 4.3 seconds rather than 4.4.
With this +30HP, is there a notable difference? Is it worth paying an extra 14k for it?
I'd usually tell myself go big or go home, but its just a question I've been having to myself for quite some time.

Not a big expert on the C63 but I guess you can get those gains for far less more! Maybe experts can help you out here.

I would think there would be a little more than 30hp for the sport variant. If not, go with the less expensive one. 14k will get you a lot more then 30 ponies. Hell try to find a used one with like 5,000 miles or 10,000 km. Save another 5-10 k

another aussie! welcome!
i dont think the performance package is worth it for the price they're asking for the C63.A successful man is someone who wakes up in the morning, goes to sleep at night, and does whatever makes him happy in between.

Fully warrantied tune for a 30hp gain? You can't afford to not get the performance package.
In all seriousness, if it's something which attracts you and the cost isn't out of reach, then you'll enjoy it. Else, it's a C63 and you'll have no need for 'more' once you start driving it and not simply talking about it on a forum.

According to the AMG website, the P31 pack adds upgraded brakes, lightweight engine components, 30 extra hp, a top speed of 174, red brake calipers, and a carbon fiber trunklid spoiler.....that's it.

I'd do it if I were you, I have never heard anyone regret getting upgraded packages on the cars.
