2012 Maserati GranTurismo MC Priced From $143,400

The 2012 Maserati GranTurismo MC, the fastest production car ever unleashed on the U.S. market, is now ready for sale and we can confirm today that it will list at $143,400.
This price includes $1,800 in shipping charges and a $1,700 gas guzzler tax, and it’s right in line with the $146,300 asking price for the similarly endowed 2012 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible Sport.
The 2012 Maserati GranTurismo MC is based on the slightly more extreme GranTurismo MC Stradale sold overseas but has been fitted with more luxurious appointments, the biggest different being its transmission selection.
The GranTurismo MC Stradale features an automated manual gearbox whereas the U.S.-spec GranTurismo MC gets a conventional automatic--a ZF six-speed. While the GranTurismo MC Stradale’s gearbox may be able to complete faster shifts, the feeling in the car is a lot jerkier than with a conventional automatic.
Both are powered by the same 444 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque Ferrari-derived 4.7-liter V-8 though the GranTurismo MC Stradale will sprint to 60 mph from rest 0.3 seconds faster than the GranTurismo MC, doing it in just 4.6 seconds. It will also reach a top speed of 186 mph, 1 mph better than the GranTurismo MC’s 185 mph.
This engine also features lower friction internals and a lighter exhaust system to help improve fuel economy, though final EPA numbers are yet to be released.
Finally, the GranTurismo MC also comes fitted with a special aerodynamics package that helps increase downforce on the car at high speeds without any detriment to drag.

The best car for the price and that color combo is just as good as it gets. Def my top pick.

I love this car a lot but for that money if I were looking for a lightweight sportscar I'd go for a .2 GT3RS. Give it a year or 2 and this car will be $30k off MSRP. Just my 2 cents.

Not a fan of the blacked-out wheels but it is definitely a hot number. Price seems fine to me. Ferrari performance for less works in my book.
