Thread: pre-2009 Quattroporte fog light bulb in the headlights

Hi guys,

Does anyone know what the fog lamp bulb type is on the pre-facelift QP headlights?

I am going to replace it, as well as the city light to xenon-white so as to get a uniform look.

Any info is greatly appreciated. I'd hate to rip apart everything just to find out what the bulb is....

I cannot answer your question, however it should list all bulb types in your car's manual/book set. If not, e-mail a company who manufactures the specific bulbs you are looking at and ask them if they know the bulb types you are looking for.

Only states to bring it to the dealer to get it replaced so they can charge me up the wazoo for the labor...

OK, it's saturday. I got tired of waiting for an answer, so I jacked up the car, took off the front wheel, removed the carpet inner liner and went to town:

This is what's behind the inner liner:



Remove these 2 metal clips (one to the right, one to the left):



City lights are to the outside of this module. Twist a quarter turn and remove city lights. The turning bulb type is H21W Phillips or similarly 64136, 12356 or H6W but longer. City light is the standard wedge bulb.

Here's the SUPER ELUSIVE fog light bulb.....and it's *drum roll* H3 ! !

You are better than me. When I first got the car, it took me an hour trying to find the hood latch.....
