Default DIY: Installing Valence USA cf paddles on a QP

    Hi guys,

Got my cf paddles today from Valence USA. Lovin' the quality and the finish. Everything fits perfect. You don't have to take off the steering wheel but you need to get one of those allen keys with the ball end so you can unscrew it sideways. You will see from my following pictures that you will need this allen key.

    What a beauty!

The top screw on the right paddle will give you the most trouble because it's slightly covered by the steering wheel. You kinda need to press on the leather a little bit and force the ball part of the allen key in to get to the screw.

It's easier to start on the left paddle. The screws are very easily accessible.

Left side is installed. Check out the difference in size with the original paddle on the right!

There's a small trick in getting the top screw loose. First you unscrew the bottom screw and then you wiggle the paddle up and down to help loosen the top screw as you twist counterclockwise the allen key. Once the top screw comes off, the paddle is off. Going back in is a bit harder. But like I said, put some force into it, it will work. Remember the screw has to go back in STRAIGHT, not sideways, you will destroy the threads of the screw if it doesn't go in straight.

Enjoy your new cf paddles. Now you can turn the steering wheel left and right without worrying if you can change gears. By the way, I ordered the MC Victory version from Valence USA.

Nice to see someone not afraid to do some work themselves on something like a Mas.

It's only 4 small allen screws. Nothing to it.

I also ripped out the interior myself and refinished them in suede.

Pulled out all the gummy interior panels myself and refinished them.

Did the exhaust and x-pipe myself.

Did the ecu and the transmission module myself too....

    Air filter myself.

Going to tackle the KW coilovers myself as soon as the stuff comes in.
