Forget all the BS, here is the real deal:
Maserati's reliability was substantially improved from 2006 onward. The post 2006 cars are very reliable, as long as they are "maintained". The defenition of maintenance = taking the car in for scheduled services.
Waiting until something breaks and then bringing it in = IS NOT MAINTENANCE, that is called repair, and yes, there is a huge difference between the two.
Example: Brushing your teeth = maintenance. Going to the dentist in pain to get a filling or root canal cause you didn't brush = avoidable repair. Most exotics of any type get a bad rap due to owner induced negligence.
Now: All Maseratis pre 2006 def have their issues, and I would not describe them as reliable.

Well said sir

But how bad are the maintenance costs? More than a bmw 7 series? Comparible to something else?
