Default Overkill: Armenian builds Personal Maserati

How many people have the option to buy their beloved sports car? Not a lot. In some cases people wait until the money reaches their pockets or they just build their own. The following passionate motorist from Armenia, Matevossian, built his own personal Maserati supercar at home.

Matevossian started his project in 1985 and finished it in 2007. He changed his design several times to give his car a “sporty” look. The basic setup holds an engine, gearbox and rear suspension from a real 1984 Maserati BiTurbo V6 2 liter with 200hp to power the car.

22 years and this is the outcome?

    I don't get it.

I wonder how much was spent over the course of the build. Maybe he should have stacked his chips instead of building that atrocity and bought a ferrari or a lambo.

I think it's cute. He is a little old man and that was his tinker toy in the garage that he built. My granpa did something like this with a boat. A hobby is good for the soul.
