Although you do not seem to want a porsche, for the money I would look into getting an 02-04 C2 Coupe for 25-30k, and buy an aftermarket warranty through your porsche dealership for 3k and enjoy it. I want an exotic too and not saying this is you, but I have considered stretching my budget to get there, and it really is not a smart decision. The only other car I would look into even though it is not an exotic would be a 02-04 Z06. Very low maintanence cost, reliable, very fun to drive, and the fixed roof coop does draw some attention.

If your looking for a entry level exotic that draws attention what about a Ferrari 308? Maintence wouldnt be more than the Maser would it? Plus the prancing pony badge draws attention. Also, what about another Elise or a Viper?

I live in socal so most cars don't have a "shock value" in that price range. Our honda's and ford's are Rover and E classes. Now the Bugatti still is a shocker to see or a Maybach but what ever you decide you can make it a shocker. A slick paint job, some nice pipes and rims and a few bolt on can make it stand out. I had a VW GTI 96 that people @ CES were walking by the ponies and horsey and the p-cars and was always front and center when I was in my "club phase". The car dosen't make the man, the man makes the car.

I haven't read this thread at all but, stay FAR away from a Maser Gransport. That cars transmission gives headaches....For that money I'd pick a SL55 AMG...there are so many options nowadays..

02 Viper GTSs are going for around high 30s low 40s, those draw alot of attention. Maintenance shouldnt very expensive. Looks great, lots of fun, lots of mods if youre into that. I say this could be another option.

I think you got me all wrong on a aspect. I am not in a club phase. I am a club promoter. I do what it takes to get people through the door to generate business for my clients. The more people through the door means more business. People here in Columbia, SC usually wanna party with the "big spenders". Columbia is a smaller town. And when someone walks up and there are about 6 clubs all on the same street some side by side, they are more prone to walk into the one with a Maserati parked out front. I can tell you there will be a longer line out front of that one. Its just the way it is here. I know when my boss drives his Bentley Spur and parks it in front of Heartbreaker's, we have twice the amount of people stop in. Its weird, I know!
But to get back to what I was saying, I am not trying to be a show off. I want it to be classy and I thought going with a Maserati would be the right route.
And I agree with you when you say, "The car dosen't make the man, the man makes the car." Again, I just want to have a classy and respectful presence.
I will look into SL55 AMG, Thanks
Ive driven a few Viper's and they just dont seem to be my style either. I wanna be classy and have style. Viper kinda throws the wrong image for me.

The prices on vettes are pretty good right now, I heard a few people say the c6z06s are in the low 40s as well, I know thats not really within your budget but if you can stretch it, this would be a good route. Or get the z06 fender kit for the normal c6 and give it that wider stance. Plus maintenance wont be that expensive either. They are good lookin cars, but this all depends on your style.

Seeing those repair bills makes me sick... I have done all my own maintenance and repairs on my cars since I started driving, none of my cars have ever seen a shop... I was pissed when I had to pay $120 to have a key programmed...
I have never driven one... but based on looks the GranSport is a great looking car...
