    Default Hmmm, Maserati or Honda...

I know Masi's aren't Hondas or Toyotas, but what is their reliability like?

Your sig says you have a Maserati.

    Confused...

    Electronics are buggy as hell.
Engines and trans are as solid as anything else.

Mines gone when the warranty ends.

The Italians and the British never had the best grasp on auto wiring and electrics...

Also the earlier quattroporte model had issues with transmission and other details (04-07 I believe)

Not sure what model your looking at.

I remember in the early 2000s a few friends of my dad said their Audis had buggy electronics. What exactly does that mean - does the instrument panel light up like a Christmas tree, does the radio not work, does the car not even run?

In my xp it's just strange things, they stop working due to connections. Windows will go down when you tell them then instantly up, all the buttons on my steering wheel stopped working and the hvac controls do whatever the hell they want and you have to press things twice sometimes to get it to adjust to your desired setting. The bentley does some strange stuff but rarely. Ironically however, I think my gts would be a safer bet if I had to choose between the two for the apocalypse because I think the drive train is more solid and the car will deffinately run other than all the acc will be non functional.

I would highly recommend against owning anything but the current gen of qp and gt from maser.

Sorry, I should have specified. I wrote this from my phone on my way out the door. I meant to ask specifically about the 07 quattroporte's. I haven't had any problems, but it also sits in the garage probably 95% of the year. I'm probably going to sell mine within the next 6 months. I'm looking to get in a year or two old R8.

My little brother is looking at an all blacked out 07 quattroporte at a local stealership.
