My little brother is looking at an all blacked out 07 quattroporte at a local stealership.
    ah, gotcha.

    was confused.

does it have the f1 transmission?

I have no clue, I'll have to ask him. His budget is about $40k. He asked me to sell him my GT for $40. I would have punched him if I wasn't so busy laughing.

2007 QPs can be tricky. All are generally reliable. The duo-select models have the added expense of clutch changes and tranmission related parts that can fail (F1 pump, relays, TOB, etc). The Automatica models have a very reliable transmission made by the German firm ZF. Very few, if any, issues with the Automatica cars.

It has the duo-select tranny. I told him to stay away.

On a side note, my mom called me up bitching that I was a bad brother because I wouldn't sell my brother the GT for $40k. Hahaha.

I have not heard much good from the older gen Quattroportes. I mean stay away from the F1 box no question, but the repairs will get quick and expensive and also often if you manage to luck out.

The radio in my GT works sometimes.... And then sometimes it doesn't. It's an ongoing problem. Sometimes I'll start the car and it will be just static. The only fix that I know is to leave it running for about 10 minutes, and then leave it turned off for about 10 minutes. Upon restart it works fine..
