Default New 2012 Maserati MC, mods already started

Just picked up my first Maserati. Traded my '06 F430 Spider for it. Although not quite as fast, I couldn't be more pleased. You can the MC all day and not be worn out. I can't say the same for the F430 Spider, although I did very much like the car. GT vs. sports car experience preference for me. The MC exhaust and auto sportshift are fantastic.

Anyway, I had to start the modifications right away (only 350 miles on the car so far).

Went to my friends at Kartoyz (408-251-1496) who did all of the mods., with the exception of the ECU remap by Sharwerks (also great folks), who accomplished this through their partnership with EVOsit.

    Phase one: mods to date

    1. Formula Dynamics lowering springs (approx. .8-1 inch drop) improves looks and
    handling
    2. Novitec Rosso NF3 Wheels (Kartoyz hooked me with these from another customer who
was selling his MC. We killed the price, otherwise I would not have gone for these as
they are so expensive. Had them powder coated by Kartoyz, satin black
The wheels are designed for the Masi. They are massive. 21 X 12.5 rear with massive 355
Pirelli P Zero's. The fronts are 20 X 9.5 with 275 tires. The photos I have included do
not do them justice. Absolutely stunning looking on the MC. The rear footprint is wider
    than any Lambo.
    3. Smoke cleared the rear tail lights, the side markers.
    4. Had the amber headlite side markers smoked with custom window tint
    5. all windows tinted
    6. Clear armor everything except the doors
    7. All emblems painted black, with custom red pin strip reapplied.
    8. front grill surround painted black
    9. EVOsit ECU modification by Alex from Sharkwerks (adds about 20hp)
    10. remove rear Maserati emblem

    Phase 2 (this week):
    1. Formula Dynamics DBW (drive by wire) upgrade for improved shifting response
    2. Larger 4.5 inch oval exhaust tips, powder coated gloss black

Phase 3 (about one month from now, and will post updates):
    1. Replace stock hood with Novitec hood (larger vents, etc)
    2. Novitec front grill with carbon fiber surround

wow man this car is so sick!I love it already stock but yours looks incredible!for the interior did you go with the "race specs" (no back seats, rollbar, bucket seats) or a more "cruiser" style?

Race speci interior not available in the US according to my dealer. I will post some pics of the interior; black with raised white stitching and full carbon fiber trim.

Default More update to the MC, new pictures updates

We changed out the exhaust tips: from 3.5 to 4.5 rolled tips, powder coated gloss black; much more aggressive.
Also, added the drive by wire transmission upgrade (from Formula Dynamics). Wow, made a huge difference in shift response and getting the power to come on earlier. I recommend this upgrade big time.

    thanks for the compliments. J
