Default Boating from Duluth/Chicago to Quebec?

I was just thinking that this would be a pretty cool thing to do; going on a trip over the great lakes for a summer.

Has anyone here ever done it? Any estimate on time?

My uncle did it in his 55 ft'er... cost a crap load in fuel, but he loved it.

My guess is that it would take a long time. I know for a fact it takes almost a day to get through the Welland canal which is the waterway that connects lake erie to lake ontario. Obviously that's only a very small portion of the journey. Could be fun though. If you've got the time go for it!
