Engines are TBD but they're edging towards hybrid of some sort to complete the unmanned drone/can stay out for weeks concept.

No S! The pair of diesels normally in a boat that size (if it's a cruiser) could weigh that much.

Even some decent bigblock Mercs would be 2k for the pair?

    Sure looks sick though!

I forgot to mention it had a gyro stabilizer onboard which supposedly eliminates all body roll.

    Never heard of such technology.

That's very interesting. . . I mean it's great for something like a cruise ship where stability is paramount, but it would greatly inhibit performance.

Maybe it's a slow speed vessel despite the looks?

I mean, imagine riding a motorcycle, or even a bicycle and not being able to lean in the turns. This is the same principle for all V-hull boats, it's a mandatory exercise for stability.

Very trick stuff, probably a lot going on that they aren't speaking of.

(gyro stabilizers are commonly used in motion picture cameras for stabilization on remote booms and what not)

Yeah I know about cameras but I have to assume it wouldn't interfere with high speed maneuvering or maybe they can turn it off/on at speed. Probably to give a steady base to launch missles from...duh.

    gyro company
