Have not done that particular gathering, however have done others (more private) of owners getting together at a particular meeting place and creating our own flotilla so to speak.

This is highly geared toward the party go'er charter business, (not the typical charter of a larger boat) which isn't a bad thing, but having your own boat, on your schedule is really a much better option.

While the advert is enticing, most any seasonal weekend in a hot spot (med or carib.) weekend could fit the same bill for a commercial of booze, women, and boats.

Very true. Me and my friends were VERY close to pulling the trigger on yacht week Croatia this year. I even considered as a skipper.

But really, I'd rather be in charge. Seems like the money could be spent better.

That's about as entry level as far as pricing is considered to get into a charter yacht. The first charter we did was (about 5 years ago) was 75 per week, of course our charter was a remarkable larger boat, but again, for entry level, get your feet wet, it's is fair deal.

Croatia does indeed have some incredible waters to sail.
