There was a HUGE debate over this about whos line pushed who in what direction. Basically it boiled down to the parents allowing their children to swim near a racetrack was probably not the brightest idea. If I had kids at a race, I doubt Id let them more than a few feet out and the swimming areas should NOT be near a corner or a cut due to the number of accidents that happen in those areas. If you're sittin on the fence at a nascar race and take a tire to the head, whos fault is it? Same scenario..

Dont let your children swim near 200mph offshore racing boats at full throttle.. Just not a smart idea.

Words cant discribe how stupid that is. How bout the guy driving the boat, give him a little respect even thought it wouldnt be his fault imagine how he would feel if he hit them.

APBA sanctions state NO swimming during racing heats. If someone is in the water, the race director is supposed to shut it down.

I know that's not an APBA event. But there's a damn reason you don't get in the water when boats are running! I've watched a jet ski almost get hit at one of our races because he wandered onto the course when we were required to keep a boat launch at the end of the course open for pleasure boaters.
