Cream of the Crop
Heres some pics of one of the nicest catamarans out there, great performance and soon to offer amazing luxury. How awesome would it be to have one of these boats with air conditioning, remote start, an interior that looked like your ferrari, and the feel and comfortability of a luxury sedan? Oh and you could do between 130mph and 200 mph its up to you. Check out let me know what you think?
Thanks John

I had American Force rims on my dually

Boat looks pretty sick. I'd love a 130mph cat. But open cockpit for me please

Yeah, I would go for a roadster. The closed canopy just doesn't do it for me.

I like the open roadster style aswell but my thing is that when you boat in havasu and its 100+ all day every day the roadsters get no air flow so you just bake. With closed cockpit you get A/C and then it doesn't matter what temp it is outside haha.
Thanks John

DOUG WRIGHTS!! WOOOOOT! The rigging on that silver boat is EXACTLY what I want. and the fact that it "looks" like a canopy but still has that fresh air/sunburn feel to it is pefect. Im workin a deal on a DW right now. Twin O/B's... They made one that had small blocks in it, that would be a great lake boat..

I ran side by side with loan shark in St. Pete last year for the poker run (or maybe the year before, idk).. Always loved the looks and performance of the DW's..
The first boat is "Purgatory".
It's a 43' Doug Wright closed canopy with full carbon fiber layup, 4 seats, 1000hp blower motors, Arneson surface drives, air conditioned cockpit, onboard camera system, cd/dvd player etc. Last I heard it was running 150 and still had some tuning and dialing in left to do.
Engines started life at AZ Speed & Marine then Tommy @ Chief redid them.
Heres a little more info on the 2nd boat you just posted:
2009 34' Doug Wright 4 seat open canopy
Rigged by Grant's Custom Rigging
Mercury 600efi blower motors
Bravo ITS outdrives
Latham throttles & tie bar
Stainless Marine sea strainers
Standard Horizon GPS plotter
Livorsi black carbon fiber face gauges
Black "carbon fiber look" interior
Clarion Marine cd/xm radio with 4 Pioneer 8" marine speakers
Smoked acrylic windshield with black powdercoated fasteners
Custom see through engine hatches
LED cockpit lighting

My issue is that a closed canopy just doesn't feel like a boat to me. You can't just lounge around in the sun with the stereo on, etc. It isn't a commuter car that needs to get you from point A to B. Just kinda loses the whole purpose of the boat IMO.
A buddy of mine is about to start building a 46' skater with a pair of merc 1200's, can't wait to get a ride in that monster.

At the speeds that boat will run, a canopy with oxygen is your best bet. Theres not any lounging around in the sun when you're on a poker run (which is what these boats are built for).. and *most* people that are buying these, its a second boat. The cruiser is back at the dock with all the sun-in-the-fun that you can handle.. I boat every single weekend and Id kill for a canopy boat in this 110* heat ...
