quick owner survery
Would like to ask a few questions to any race boat owners. Have been working with someone on a new business venture that we think is not being addressed in the boating world. It's a service to save roughly 20% a year in operating expenses through tax savings and structure. No experience in the boating world, but from the three owners we casually talked to last month, it seems there are some simple things motorsports racers are doing that sport boat racers haven't been taking advantage of.
If you own a speed/race/sport boat (something that participates or can participate in poker runs, amateur racer or professional races)
(and feel free to PM the answers if you don't want to post).
-What type and brand/model boat(s) do you own?
-What is the approximate value of all your boating related hardware (boat, trailer, dock rental, tow vehicle, etc)?
-Is your boat registered to your business or is it registered to yourself?
-Do you write off any of your operating expenses?
-Do you own your own business or are you capable of offering your advice as an industry expert?
-Do you spend $150-$300k, $300-$500k, $500-$750k, or $750k+ on annual operating expenses (maintenance, gas, travel, hotels, f&B...basically anything related to the boating)
-Do you ever do any corporate hospitality for your business?
-Do you currently, or have you ever held a racing license (boating, car, motorcycle)?
-Do you have a custom paint scheme on your boat and/or tow vehicle?
-If a corporate sponsor approached you with cash or product, would you consider applying corporate logo's?
In exchance for answering, we'll respond with the details of the idea (you're free to implement it on your own for yourself). Once we've got the presentation together, we'll post a link here to view the full presentation. I don't want to post it before the questions are answered for fear of skewing the answers.
This isn't any form of business solicitation, our profit won't be from selling the idea, that's free to the world. Our profit will be coming from assistance in implementing the day to day details. We feel this could save significant $ for some boat owners who have been treating this as nothing more than an expensive hobby, very curious to hear from a more diverse pool of boat owners. If it would be easier to answer these ?'s over the phone, please PM me a # and convenient time to reach you.
TIA
Ron.
Thanks-Mille162
