    Launch party for Lotus luxury automotive to unveil the world's first chrome colored car designed by the newly appointed creative director Swizz Beatz. Special guests included Lotus CEO Dany Bahar, Alicia Keys, Russell Simmons, Stephen Baldwin, Carmelo Anthony and a surprise performance from Swizz and TI.

    Exactly. Lotus is the smallest independent manufacturer by a large margin with the smallest projected unit volume. Most people on LT are horrified at the thought of Swizz Beatz as marketing director, but frankly if a Lotus in a music video sells 10-15 more Exiges, that would practically double Exige sales in the U.S.

    I agree they have to grow or die... but if Lotus is going upscale with models to compete against porsche, ferrari and lambo this mess seems to go against crediability, luxury, refinemint - not build it...

    or if this is just one side of the new marketing attack - great, but I haven't seen the other side yet...

    but - it's certainly not my scene so I get that I 'maynotunderstand'
