Thread: San Diego European Motorcars, LTD. - new Lotus dealer in the San Diego area

There's a new Lotus dealer in the San Diego area, San Diego European Motorcars, LTD. They sell Lotus cars, do Lotus service and, of course, sell Lotus parts.

They are located at 7820 Balboa Blvd, San Diego, CA 92111. Their phone number is 888-793-4305.

San Diego European is San Diego's only Authorized Jaguar, Aston Martin, and Lotus dealer and is the third in the California European Auto Group family joining Desert European in Rancho Mirage and Newport European in Newport Beach.

Our friends at Symbolic Motors, also near San Diego, are still doing sales and service on all sorts of exotics, but according to them, are no longer selling new Lotus cars.

Symbolic did say they were NOT an authorized dealer anymore for repair or for sale new cars sales. I have tried to deal with San Diego European for server and am already very disapointed. Lack of call backs and not even awnsering phones. People I have had to deal with just seem over all rude. I will NOT use them for anything. I think I will stick with Symbolic or IAR for service.

I don't have any experience with SPE and I don't know about your experience. But I work right down the street from them and I don't think they are even running at 10% capacity. Usually just some workers walking around doing some construction.

I sure hope thats all it is. We need another good dealer here in SD. I need Aston Martin and Lotus service so it would be nice to have another ave so close.

San Diego European answered my calls immediately and seemed very professional and polite.

As I said, they are part of the California European Auto Group. They are directly connected to Lotus through Abe at Newport European in Newport Beach. He is a great guy and used to be at SouthBay Lotus, when I bought my Lotus there. He can be reached at 888-864-7312.
