Lotus Elise ride quality....
Funny question huh?
I have had some rough riding cars, my MINI was slammed with springs and was pretty jarring, along with my G.
Is it really as bad as people say, is it capable of a DD? Im only 20.
(I only intend to use it for 3-4 months, and around town. Longest trip being maybe 50 miles)PAC

I DD my elise every single day, about 26 miles each way.
I also recently did a 3-day 2100 mile Rally in it. It's fine. Dont get me wrong, potholes SUCK, but general driving is perfectly fine.Damen Knight

I've been riding in a exige everyday for the last two weeks and as long as you don't mind being carful about pulling into parking lots you'll be fine.

I had a supercharged Elise and I do not find the ride to be particularly jarring. I would not want to take it on a long road trip but the ride is fine for an average commute. The worse part about the car is getting in and out of it.

I drive a modified Mini Clubman JCW as a DD, and the ride is more stiff/rough in that than in my Lotus. However I have a love/hate relationship with the Lotus. I can't drive it for extended periods, and the last time I drove it every day for a week, I had to give it a rest for 2 weeks before jumping back in her so I can appreciate her again. I guess everyone is different, eh?

As long as you drive it always in defensive mode, almost the same as driving a motorcycle. Vehicles will hardly see you. Ask Damen how his wife learned the hard way :\
