First off let me say that from personal experience, the Elise/Exige is an amazing car... the Elise/Exige platforms are very similar as your probably already know, and therefore the stock Elise comes with a great deal of performance standards... the Elise is by far the best valued Lotus, especially when buying preowned. 2005 was the first year of the Elise in the US, and uses a 1.8L I4 manufactured by Toyota, paired with a Toyota drivetrain. The Exige was introduced in 2006 and is the non-supercharged model of the same Exige 'S' sold in 2007, that is supercharged... since 2007 they have offered the Exige 'S' with a 220, 240, and 260 Cup tune which each designate the HP rating from the factory... I have an 07' Exige 'S', and when I was looking back in November, was up in the air between the Elise, Exige and Exige 'S' and honestly have no regrets getting the supercharged model... they do offer a supercharged version of the Elise, badged the SC, along with other variations such as the California, but ultimately it comes down to preference and value with buying any Lotus Elise, Exige or Supercharged variant. Hope this helped alittle and best of luck with your purchase! (any other more specific quesitons about packages, colors, etc. Ill be glad to answer)

    Little bastard...hmmmmm.....

    Lotus Elise.

About an '05 or '06 for about $20,000.

Try to get one that hasn't been tracked.

Drive one first. And stop calling it little bastard until you know one personally.

I was thinking the same thing. A relatively low mileage Elise shouldn't be below 25 especially since it's summer... Maybe at auction tho.

I've seen them for $20,000 but if they are mostly holding at $25,000 that's great news for owners of cars that are nearly 6 years old now.

Details of Used 2006 Lotus Elise, Jonesboro, GA - Yahoo! Autos

This guy sent me some info on his 2006 Lotus for sale.

    4,087 miles..$23,850. Before haggling.

    Good price.

Throw it on a flatbed trailer and it's yours.
