I'll be honest, I have my money positioned to where I'm not gonna drop more than 25k on a new car. Plus, i'm gonna keep my Infiniti for awhile as a primary car since i've put new brakes, belts, steering rack, all in the last year.
My interest is in a used Elise. I think i could live with the $100 oil changes, and i could probably do them myself once I finish organizing the garage in my new house.
My concern is this: I'm a big 'ol boy, 6'1" 260, lotsa muscle, lotsa chub, too. (it's not a beer belly, it's a fuel tank for a sex machine). Is there a chance for me fitting in an Elise?Si vis pacem, para bellum.

I've had friends bigger than you fit in and drive in my Elise. I wont claim that its comfortable (I dont honestly know myself, I'm fairly short/skinny), but you can definitely at least fit.

$25,000? That's the price for an Elise these days in really good condition!

The top comes off the Elise really easily. You can slide in and out in a second with the top off. In wet weather, you'll still be able to fit inside.
Come by SCC if you are nearby in L.A. and you can climb in and out of our own Lotus cars!

Cool. Appreciate the offer, but I don't think i'll be back on the left coast until July or August. My best friend from High School just finished the smurfs movie, and I'm trying to work out a week or so that we're both free to hang out.
