Default Lotus Type 125 "Ultimate Track Car" Is a Million Dollar F1 Car

Lotus Exos Type 125 – The Ultimate Track Toy Revealed With Million Dollar Price Tag | AutoGuide.com News

Lotus has just unveiled the Exos Type 125 “ultimate track toy” in Monterey and it’s wilder than we ever could have imagined. It’s not some car-based trackable sports car, but essentially a Formula 1 chassis and a Cosworth F1 engine.

The V8 engine makes 650-hp at 10,300 rpm and will deliver awesome acceleration thanks to the cars 650kg curb weight and a sequential gearbox. The chassis is made of carbon fiber and even features a carbon fiber pushrod suspension setup.

In total, Lotus will build 25 T125s next year at a price of one million dollars. Buyers will get more than just a car, however, with five driver events at race tacks included.

I wonder if this will be like the Ferrari XX "lease" programs of if you would actually take possession of the car. I also wonder if Lotus won't use one or two of these as a way around the F1 testing ban. With the right driver, they could theoretically test different aero bits on one of these.

From what I read on Top Gear, you can either have Lotus store it for you and then go to the events or you could have it shipped to where ever the hell you wanted it.
And I think that another added bonus of the car for lotus is the testing. Have to wait and see if F1 says anything about it...

This car is a serious joke being played on Lotus share holders and Lotus owners, 99.9% of who are too cheap to modify their cars or even pay for an oil change... This clearly shows that the new Lotus management team have no clue as to who buys a Lotus...or will buy a Lotus....
For six figures you buy a track car with real history that will only go up in value not some worthless unproven toy not even made by or at Lotus...
