Lotus Carlton Appreciation Thread
I feel that the Carlton gets no appreciation, especially since it was never officially sold in the U.S. For those of you who don't know, back in the early nineties, GM owned Lotus. They had Lotus build a hotted-up version of the Vauxhall Carlton/Opel Omega.
It had a turbocharged straight-six and the manua transmission from the Corvette ZR1. These topped out at 177MPH, essentially supercar territory in the early nineties.
Discuss.

Yup, I am aware of it, but as you stated, they were never brought into the US, so most people are unaware of the existence of the Lotus Carlton.
While you're at it, how about some recognition for the original Lotus tuned sports sedan - the Lotus Cortina.

Beast of a car. I remember seeing a few around back in the day. Lots of presence.
