Experienced Lotus mechanic Stephan Schwartz, formerly with Lotus Beverly Hills, has set up shop at Specialty Car Craft. 2035 So. La Cienega Blvd., just north of the 10 freeway in Los Angeles. His phone number is 310-838-5551.

This is especially great news for any Lotus owners in the Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Santa Monica areas.

Stephan is available for anything that you need adjusted on your Lotus, from stock to full race. Installation of the latest hot exhaust systems, a new steering rack (the dreaded klunk), a new radiator (if your water temperature is constantly over 205), new brake pads (and rotors if you waited too long), new seats (if you're sitting on a pad in your 2005...you know who you are), even the newest superchargers and fun, fast gear.

Speaking of interiors, he can install any new radio that you like, with I-Pod connections if you need it.

Owning a Lotus is not like owning any other sports car.

As a Lotus owner you are putting an amazing amount of effort into taking care of your car. You hear every single sound amplified.

When something isn't right you know it immediately. You want it fixed NOW.

What you want is someone who you absolutely trust, someone who will take care of your baby. Fix the problem and get the car back to you as soon as possible.

I met Stephan when he was part of a group of excellent Lotus-trained mechanics at the official Lotus dealer, Lotus of Beverly Hills.

After I saw how great he fixed my car, no one else touched my Lotus.

He is that good.
