Thread: Wednesday, Oct.7 Galpin Lotus Van Nuys officially open - Lotus sales/warranty servic

I was driving home from work a few minutes ago and received a call from Joe Van De Verre at Galpin Lotus in Van Nuys, California.

He told me that it's official -- they are finally open as of today -- ready to sell Lotus cars and perform Lotus warranty service. And they have a great parts department.

This means there are now three Lotus dealers in the L.A. area, Newport Lotus down south, Thousand Oaks Lotus up north, and now Galpin Lotus in between.

Galpin really wants to have a strong relationship with Lotus owners.

Joe told me that they are going to have a grand opening party and are inviting all Lotus/sports car owners in the Southland. He said that he would call me soon with the date and time, hopefully on a Saturday or Sunday.

For many Lotus owners in Los Angeles, this is a huge sigh of relief.

The direct line to Joe's desk is 818-922-3644 and is the fastest way to get through to the new Lotus division there.

Also - the direct line to their Lotus Service Writer (John Alavazo - a very good guy) is 818-922-3623.

I'm just trying to let Lotus owners know where we can get our cars fixed.

Ever since SouthBay Lotus (where I bought my car) closed, Beverly Hills Lotus closed with my car trapped in their service bay, and Calabasas Lotus closed, I've been constantly searching for warranty work elsewhere.

I'll tell Joe at Galpin about your offer. He should absolutely be a sponsor at L4P.

Yes. I just dropped by the parts counter today and ordered a new door/roof seal and some wheel arch liner fasteners. They have alot of goodies.

First Class operation. 5 cars in stock, two were standard Elises, one of them Isotope Green. They also had an S260 in Titanium Silver which you really have to see in person.
