Default 8000K D3S Bulb Problem anyone?

I have tried 2-3 different times with my 2011 RRS. The bulbs only last about 2-4 weeks depending on the hours.
Has anyone else had this problem with their 2010+ Range Rovers?

That's strange... I've got to ask the obvious: are you buying decent bulbs?

If so, are you touching the glass surface of the bulbs with your bare fingers (moisture/grease from fingers will cause HID bulbs to burn out very quickly)?

8000k is actually an ice blue..not purple AT ALL.
I hate the stock OEM 4000k..they look like halogens to me to be totally honest with you. Theyre a nice bluish white when they your first turn them on and they are cold...but after 10-15 seconds. They turn to a yellowish/white.

In any case, I'm trying the 6000ks now, hopefully those won't keep burning out

I bought them from ebay, I believe they are the same as stock (35w?)...I've bought the same ones for my M3 and M6 and never had a problem with either. Ive gone through like 5 or 6 sets in the Range already

where did you buy those? and what year is your RRS?
