"We were never satisfied being status quo. We were never OK just getting by. We pushed and drove at everything we have done in our lives to succeed in spite of those around us that would hold us back and naysay us. We finally realized that we needed to make our own rules to do things better. 99% of the people in this world do not understand us and what drives us.

Check documents is they really are Defender, or more likely over 25 years old Land Rover One Tens, or Series III Land Rovers (well that what the documents would say, but obviously the bodyworks scream 2010 SVX ;-) )

No, I believe they are grey market imports, I'd only look and not touch. If there is a galv chassis then they are not legal by NHTSA standards. If there is a replacement chassis on the build then they are illegal by federal standards. As the chassis number will have been 'tampered'with. You have to use the original chassis from the donor to make it legal.

Land Rover won't, but there are companies out there who do build them as legally as possible. PM me if you want more info.

There is speculation that the European patent for the chassis are expiring this year forcing Land Rover to come up with a new chassis therefore making it compliant with US standards. But that is more hearsay and pure hope desire for me.
